According to reports, 23 year old Ryan Culver plowed through the Vine Street intersection after driving his Pontiac Grand Am on Glenwood Street. The vehicle careened off the road, hitting the adolescent and Ms Monisa Barnes, pinning them between the vehicle and a nearby home. Ms Virginia Howard, a witness to the incident noted:

"This car comes speeding off of Glenwood..... It reminded me almost of like a spaceship. It just took off, and could not make the turn."
After being removed from the car, all three adults in the vehicle were taken to UCMC to be treated for their injuries while the 12 year old was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Ms Barnes was also taken to UCMC. Chief Blackwell added that both the adolescent and Ms Barnes were in critical condition, having both suffered life-threatening injuries. Initial reports have determined that drugs and speed were factors in the automotive accident however, no information on charges as been released.
