Elderly Woman Dies Nearly One Week After Serious Car Crash

Ethel Vosler, 88, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, nearly one week after she was involved in a serious car crash on Morse Road. Around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, Vosler was injured when the Chrysler Imperial she was riding in was struck by a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Morse and Kitzmiller roads in Jefferson Township. Frank Vosler, 92, was driving the Chrysler, but was not injured in the crash. According to witnesses, the Jeep was traveling northbound on Kitzmiller when the driver failed to yield to crossing traffic and struck Vosler's vehicle. Ethel Vosler was taken to Grand Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Jeep were not injured and the auto accident remains under investigation.
