Nationwide, the safety council predicts as many as 409 Americans could be killed and nearly 50,000 injured on the road. Police will be out in force for the holiday to help keep Ohio highways safe and to assist those who need help. Police are urging motorists to obey the law and stay safe.
To keep from becoming a statistic drivers are urged to:
- Buckle up
- Slow down
- Don't drive distracted

If you are impaired and you get behind the wheel you put your life and the lives of others at risk. All it takes is a fraction of a second to lose control because of another car or unexpected situation.
