Exploding Gas Tank Injures Three After Interstate 71 Collision

Authorities from Norwood Police have provided details on a serious I-71 automotive collision that resulted in three people being injured after their vehicle caught fire. According to reports, the accident between a truck and a passenger vehicle occurred near the Norwood Lateral and resulted in a fuel tank being ripped from the side of the truck which then spilled diesel fuel in the general area and caught fire. Four northbound lanes were closed on the roadway, while two children and an adult were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with burns, cuts and bruises.
