Hit-And-Run In Cold Spring Kills Pedestrian

A Cold Spring, Kentucky man was struck on the Alexandria Pike early in the morning Tuesday, October 8 and was left to die from his injuries when the driver fled the scene. According to the report, Lenny James Shay, 37 of Cold Spring, was attempting to cross the roadway when a dark colored sedan hit him on the Pike near Harvest Trail. The driver left the scene and police are asking for any witnesses with information on the drivers identity or whereabouts to come forward. Officers believe the vehicle could be a charcoal grey Toyota and would have sustained damage to its front end. Drivers who flee the scene of an accident are performing a serious act of negligence, as hit-and-run accidents in Cincinnati can have dire consequences for the victims. In the case of Shay, he was unable to receive treatment for his injuries and died at the scene.
