A 17-year-old girl has been cited for failing to maintain reasonable control of her vehicle after causing a four-vehicle pile-up. The young woman from Cincinnati was attempting to turn from Five Mile Road onto Woodcroft Drive when her vehicle slid on the wet pavement, according to the Hamilton County Sheriffs Office. Her vehicle slid into a Toyota Camry, being driven by Roger Brummet, who was at the stop sign on Woodcroft Drive. After the crash, Brummets foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal. The vehicle went into the intersection and struck a Pontiac Grand AM being driven by Kimberly Corley who was traveling southbound on Five Mile Road. The vehicle was struck broadside which caused it to be redirected into the northbound side of Five Mile Road. Another vehicle in the area tried to avoid hitting that car, but was unsuccessful. Eventually, the Camry's right front tire caught on the pavement which caused it to rollover on its side. Roger Brummet, whose vehicle was overturned, had be cut out of his vehicle and was transported to a local area hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. No other persons were injured in the crash. According to the Ohio Department of Public Safety, there were 15,111 injuries caused to teen drivers between the ages of 16 and 20 in 2011. Teen drivers are often more likely to be involved in car accidents due to their inexperience behind the wheel. If you or someone you love has been injured in a teen driver accident, the victim may be entitled to file a claim for damages.
