Recently, officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requested the results of an Onglyza side effects study which was conducted by the drug’s manufacturing company, AstraZeneca. In the same drug safety announcement, the FDA revealed that about 10 cases reported fever, chills, rashes and swelling, which suggested an immunological reaction to DPP-4 inhibitors, which is the class of diabetes drugs Onglyza falls under.
